Club Do 2005

Well what a great day -- Saturday the 9th July was hot and sunny and perfect for a rideout.

An amazing 130 scooters turned up at Kippax Welfare for the rideout which commenced at 1 o'clock.

The rideout went from Kippax through Aberford, Barwick-in-Elmet, Crossgates, down the A63 to the Old George,

 through Swillington, Woodlesford, Oulton, Methley, Castleford and then back to Kippax along the old Roman

 Ridge road (also known as Mary Pannel).

Once back at the Welfare  where KSC provided free burgers and hot dogs to attendees, the custom show began.

This is always difficult as the scooters get better and better each year.

The results are as follows.

1)    Best Standard Lambretta        a green TV175 owned by Mick Wilkinson

2)    Best Standard Vespa                  a White Vespa owned by Simon Bowie

3)    Best Street Race                           GP200 "Street Beat" owned by Jeff Smith

4)   Best Custom Lambretta          a red GP owned by Richard Oswald

5)    Best Custom Vespa                      "Pimp my Ride" owned by Alan "Shiney" Howden

6)    Best Mod Scooter                        Silver PX200 owned by Graham Newby and Graham Coady

     so all in all a great day. If we have the same numbers next year then we may need Police outriders
