7th Anniversary

Another sunny day for Kippax Scooter Club's 7th Annual Do. The ride out started prompt at 13:00 and 103 scooters set off for the ride through Aberford, Barwick, Scholes and Cross Gates. As far as I'm aware all arrived back safely at the Kippax Welfare Ground for some liquid refreshments at the bar and some food from the burger van. There were some really nice looking scooters on show and I don't know if it's my imagination but the paint jobs and art work seem to get better as each year goes by. The custom show was was a great success with some difficult decisions having to be made on on the winner of each category.

The custom show results were as follows

1) Best Standard Lambretta, SX200 owned by Mick Beven.                        2) Best Standard Vespa, Green GT owned by Dean Cowgill

3) Best Street Racer, Guiness Lambretta owned by Wayne Davison.            4) Best Custom Lambretta, Scum GP owned by Neil Grace

5) Best Custom Vespa, PX owned by Paul Coles.                                        6) Best Mod Scooter, Wena Wora Lad, owned by Granville Evans
